It seems only fitting that I post a newborn session on the eve of Mother’s Day. And what a sweet one he is! I cannot be held responsible for these photos making you want to have lots of babies. I am just the recorder of moments; the drop-dead gorgeous subjects are 100% all Natalie and Jeff. I’ve been photographing these guys for several years – now that I think about it, Lauren may have been the first baby I photographed. It seems like forever ago that we were sitting in a hospital room ooh-ing and ahh-ing over beautiful baby Lauren. And suddenly here we are ooh-ing and ahh-ing over another beautiful baby! Thankfully my photography skills have vastly improved since Lauren’s birth, but today was one of those days where I just couldn’t seem to get it right. I was just off my game. For some reason I was sure that we weren’t getting enough light where we’d set up, so we moved around the corner to another room. And then I moved everyone out onto the patio. Natalie and Jeff are saints for not kicking me out after, oh, around the 3rd hour. Yes, I practically moved in. But I wanted to get it right, and hey, I have nothing going on today. Anyway. As it turns out, I really didn’t have anything to worry about because they turned out fine. And I don’t think it is possible to take a bad picture of little Harris. Is he not perfection? Silky brown hair, creamy skin, sweet brown eyes, I could just eat him up (and I made sure to get lots of snuggles in). Looks just like his sister. I asked Lauren “were you this cute when you were little?” and she responded with a confident, “yes!” So there you go. He even has the same expressions as her! So adorable. Harris was a wonderful model and did so well considering all the shuffling around. I cannot wait to watch him grow up alongside his big sister. They sure do make beautiful kids, don’t they? Well done, guys! And Happy Mother’s Day, Natalie!
